LINDSAY Lohan

LINDSAY Lohan was so worried her appendix would be sold on eBay she kept it in her freezer. The Just My Luck star was convinced her removed organ might fall into the wrong hands so she asked hospital staff to preserve it so she could take it home for safekeeping - putting it in a jar and freezing it. Now Lindsay's close friend Kimberly Stewart - the daughter of singer Rod Stewart - is trying to persuade her to sell her appendix anyway. A source told the National Enquirer: "Kimberly thinks Lindsay should auction it for charity herself." Lindsay, 20, is currently being treated for alcoholism at the Wonderland Centre rehab clinic.

Katharine McPhee's Debut Album In Stores January 30

Second runner up of last American Idol, but first to put out record.

American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee will debut her album on Jan. 30, it’s self-titled. The first single is already out, “Over It”. “When I started working on my debut album, I was asked what types of music I liked. My favorite music is rhythmic pop and I love to dance, so that was our starting point. I was also asked what I wanted to sing about, what subjects I wanted to touch on. So this album really reflects me, a 22-year-old girl who knows what it’s like to fall in love and to have her heart broken, and also a girl who likes to have fun and enjoy life!” Reported Moldova. It only took Katharine McPhee 5 months to finish her first album.

Villagers did not harm the snake, which was tied to a tree then handed to wildlife officials, the paper said on Friday.

Pet shop owner creates beer for dogs

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - After a long day hunting, there's nothing like wrapping your paw around a cold bottle of beer. So Terrie Berenden, a pet shop owner in the southern Dutch town of Zelhem, created a beer for her Weimaraners made from beef extract and malt.
"Once a year we go to Austria to hunt with our dogs, and at the end of the day we sit on the verandah and drink a beer. So we thought, my dog also has earned it," she said.
Berenden consigned a local brewery to make and bottle the nonalcoholic beer, branded as Kwispelbier. It was introduced to the market last week and advertised it as "a beer for your best friend."

Spitting image of Shanghai

SHANGHAI - Taxi drivers in China's financial capital of Shanghai are to be issued with "spit sacks" to curb their habit of rolling down their windows and hawking into the road, state media reported on Tuesday.

Phlegmatic cabbies will soon have a sack fixed to the metal grill that surrounds the driver's seat, so that both they and their passengers can make use of it.
The special sacks will be distributed to 45,000 taxis by the Shanghai Patriotic Sanitation Committee to curb spitting in public places, a habit Chinese authorities have long been trying to discourage.

Sharon Stone film in fight for worst film award

LOS ANGELES - Who says you have to be good to win an award in Hollywood?

Sharon Stone may have hit stardom years ago with her original version of "Basic Instinct," but last year's sequel belly-flopped big time and now is up for top honors at the 27th annual Golden Raspberry awards celebrating the worst in filmmaking.
"Basic Instinct 2" received seven nominations, tying the unfunny comedy "Little Man," made by the Wayans brothers, for the most nominations at the Razzies, which will be held on February 24, a day before the Oscar awards are given.
